Review of Phantom Thread (2017) by Emma S — 11 Feb 2018

Almost the perfect film. Loved all the detail, the main characters OCD tendencies and irritability, the interplay with his sister, lover and customers. All superb. Somewhat thrown by the eventual story about his compliance with a Munchausen type of relationship with his wife.

Confused and it changed the tenor of the film, but I loved it nonetheless. Could've put 30 mins on the cutting room floor. DDL was remarkable though.
