I notice that most of the positive reviews of this movie talk about the "art" and the arc of the director's career, and the genius of Daniel Day Lewis. Conversely, the reviews that talk about the actual movie and the plot are mostly negative.
Put me in the second camp. Yeah, the movie was pretty, and the performances were strong, but it was a total snoozer with no payoff at the end. If that's your cup of tea, you should rush out and see it.
