Review of Phantom Thread (2017) by Daryl L — 20 Feb 2018
Phantom Thread is a well-directed film about the complex relationship between a dressmaker, Reynolds, and his partner, Alma. To make the best work, Reynolds is very picky and can be quite rude to the people around him, particularly Alma.
Which results in a plot twist which I shall no divulge. The performances by the three leads are all great. And with that, Daniel Day-Lewis' ends his acting career on a high note here.
