Review of Phantom of the Paradise (1974) by Jack G — 13 Dec 2007
Entertaining as HELL!! De Palma's funniest comedy, and also a smashing musical, it's Faust meets Lon Chaney's 'Phantom' with a huge dosage of early 70s glam rock excess and perfect slices of Hitchcock (there's the most uproarious Psycho parody in this film).
If for nothing else, see it for William Finley, one of the unsung character actors of ever.
