Review of Phantom (2013) by Eric K — 01 Jul 2013

I was sadly disappointed as a fan of both Ed Harris and David Duchovny. Cinematography was not bad as others commented on, probably because they do not know, it was shot actually inside a sub, not a set.

The problem was bad writing, literally no suspense at all, despite attempts to create circumstances similar to Crimson Tide. And a HUGE problem for me was there was no russian accent at all. It took a bit of telling myself they were russians.

They should have done the norm, start with russian dialogue with sub titles and then at least keep the accent throughout. Just a poorly done movie. I'm also one that almost always hates the critical reviews but this just wasn't that good.
