Review of Phantasm (1979) by Masorad ( — 02 Apr 2009
Probably the first Varese-Sarabande soundtrack I ever bought. Coscarelli's arpeggiated score, sex in a cemetery, Angus Scrimm pausing by an ice-cream-truck, evil Jawa doppelgangers, a trepanning orb that flies and a gotcha ending.
Works in drive-ins and on DVD alike. Reggie the epitome of b-horror-movie cool. Boy.
