Review of Peyton Place (1957) by Joanna H — 24 Mar 2006
If you haven't seen this movie, then you should! The ending is amazing. I think it's great that this was produced in the 1950's. People need to stop hiding and pretending that bad things don't exist.
Even though every possible thing that could go wrong seems to, it shows how one girl loses her innocence, and how kids grow up. There are certain matters in this movie... it's amazing how little we've changed in 50 years.
I think this film is brilliant. (Not to mention, filmed in MAINE!).
