Review of Pete's Dragon (2016) by Matt A — 12 Aug 2016

Well there's nothing wrong with this film in a sense, its a standard safe family film. Nothing terrible happens, its perfectly safe for kids of any age to enjoy but for me nothing exciting happened.

Its one of those family films that plays everything too safe. There's not much risk involved, unlike in a film like E.T. or even How To Train Your Dragon, there wasn't any emotional connection to the dragon, Elliott.

Yes he's a loveable-ish character but I found myself not really caring.... id only recommend this film for families with young children..
