That whirring noise you hear throughout the film is Beatrix Potter turning in her grave. Okay it's not that bad and to be honest this Peter Rabbit meets Home Alone is entertaining enough. Updates of old characters are not that uncommon these days - Batman, the whole output of Boomerang etc so it's only fair that Peter Rabbit gets it too although he already has on CBeebies.
Some of the older concepts seem rather dated and quite frankly objectionable - thinking Rabbit pie here. James Corden as the voice? Well I'm not sure about that. However his performance is OSCAR worthy compared to his last one in the awful Emoji Movie.
