Loved. Like the layers they gave Mr. McGregor (humanizing him), thought the writing was clever, witty, and humorous. Normally I'm a purist when it comes to book-to-movie adaptions, but did not mind the twists made to this classic tale because they kept the heart of Beatrix Potter's love of animals (as well as the heart of her stories) within the film's core.
Went in thinking I'd hate this movie and was thoroughly surprised and came out very unexpectedly happy.
