Review of Peter & the Wolf (2006) by Kevin R — 10 Nov 2013
Peter is a small town farm boy who is friends with a cat, a crow, and a goose. They can often be found running around the farm getting into mischief. One day, a hungry wolf comes along. The wolf would be happy eating any of Peter's friends, he may even eat Peter if he had the chance. Can Peter single handedly protect his friends from becoming the wolf's meal?
Suzie Templeton, director of short films Dog and Stanley, delivers this short film, Peter and the Wolf. The storyline for this picture is so fun and entertaining to watch unfold. The animation is excellent and this is easily my all time favorite portrayal of this story. I adored the depiction of the characters.
I found this film while flicking through Netflix and thought this would be a fun movie for my daughter and I to watch, and I was 100% correct. This was an amazing film and a must see for children. This is a great story of friends and the animation style with how each character was presented was perfect. This is a short film I would honestly consider adding to my DVD collection.
Grade: A+.
