It does not entertain in the slightest. There is too much slow walking through spooky paths with the sudden jumpscare to try to get you. The characters are just plain stupid. There was only one redeeming part for me which was that the cat was played by 4 different cats.
Save your money and watch the original, read the book, or literally do anything else with the 2 hours of your life.
