Review of Persuasion (2022) by Wildwickedslip — 22 Jul 2022
Where do I even begin? Persuasion is my second favourite Jane Austen novel, and one of my favourite novels of all time. Whoever made this film has clearly not read it. Acting? Terrible. Script? Abysmal.
Casting? Highly questionable. It's the most horrendous Jane Austen adaptation of all time, topping the 2020 film of Emma, the 2008 series of Emma and the 1983 series of Mansfield Park. Laughably bad. And the octopus scene? I CANT.
