Review of Personal Shopper (2016) by Martin W — 17 Apr 2017
The thing that stood out in this film (that I couldn't bear to watch fully) was Kristen's acting. The way that she stuttered out each cluster of words like everything she said was dramatic and important was near impossible to listen to.
Critics on here leave her glowing reviews, but I beg to differ. Some things Stewart said you couldn't even understand - they were so rushed and mumbled and generally incoherent. To me, random pauses in each sentence you speak like you forgot your lines is not good acting.
Also, the constantly-depressed look on her face made me want to hire a good make-up artist to paint her on a smile because that would probably be the only method to obtain one with Kristen Stewart.
