Review of Persona (1966) by Jon P — 16 Sep 2013
Swedish visionary Ingmar Bergman grabs his viewers by the cerebral cortex and bungs them into a world of boundless secrets and perplexing paranoia in this visually arresting, viscerally jarring psycho-drama.
Brimming with animosity and unrelenting dread, Bergman's film is tantalisingly creepy from start to finish; a meandering mindfuck you just never want to end. Beautifully lit, utterly unique and undisputedly fascinating.
