Review of Persepolis (2007) by Carlo S — 08 Jun 2009
I prefer the focus on the younger years of Satrapi's life in the first graphic novel. There's a great juxtaposition of innocence and the violent revolution that the film rushed in order to get to her young adult life which I find less interesting.
The animation beautifully reflects Satrapi's simple style.
