Review of Persepolis (2007) by Demonic R — 19 Oct 2009
This film effected me in the same way that "The Kite Runner" and "1,000 Splendid Suns" did as novels: the forced me to think about a part of the world governed by negative media stereotypes in a new light.
In addition the animation was superb: there was no way that this film could have been done live action. It should be a hallmark of animation studies alongside the likes of Dumbo, Gerald McBoing Boing, or The Dot and the Line.
