Persepolis gives you great insight into Iranian culture and the Iran-Iraq war, the black-and-white animation is quite effective and the film is emotionally resonant and touching. The message that you should always remember your family and remain true to yourself is great and powerful.
Overall, Persepolis is very interesting and authentic film.
