Review of Persepolis (2007) by Derek D — 29 Oct 2009
As hopeless as the movie is colorless. The dialog could be a bit shocking in this world of scarves and modesty. It was moving, but also depressing, and sometimes hard to relate to. I didn't know if I wanted to side with this communist family.
The animation is beautiful though; black and white has always been synonymous with emotion. In that respect, I have nothing but good things to say.
