Review of Perrier's Bounty (2009) by Stephen C — 07 Dec 2010
A Guy Ritchie Knock off?
Hardly ,the Irish gangster flick is always better than most Ritchie wannabes and this film follows in the path of Intermission and I went Down.
Cillian Murphy is good value as a deadbeat who ends up owing Brendan Gleeson more than just money when his female friend kills one of his men.
What follows is a fairly funny series of comemedic and violent confrotations involving Murphy Jodie Whittaker and a brilliant Jim Broadbent who cant fall alseep.
Broadbent is on great form here swearing like a demon firing guns and drinking dried coffee .
The whole film cracks along at a fair old pace and despite the fact its been done a thousand times before I really eenjoyed it.
Nothing new then but hey who cares when your having too much fun.
