Review of Perrier's Bounty (2009) by Jarrett M — 15 Dec 2012
...a darkly humorous caper through the Dublin underworld ~ and some big names too ~ I think both Cillian Murphy and Jim Broadbent are both a bit better than this ~ Micheal (Murphy) needs fast cash to stop Perrier (Gleason), Dublin's Mr.
Big, settling matters via other, more extreme, means. When one of the Perrier's 'debt collectors' is killed by Micheal's suicidal neighbour, then the scene is really set for 'who can kill who first'.
There's guns, snorting, jealous ex boyfriends, vicious rottweilers and an estranged father all in the mixer, and the plot (of sorts) bubbles away. All in all, some laughs and some wincing, but not really the best that these well known acting thoroughbreds will produce.
