Review of Permanent (2017) by Caleb M — 06 Nov 2017
This is a small, sometimes bizarre, but ultimately sweet and funny movie. For a viewer, it just feels like you're spending the summer with this little family as they adjust to a new town and learn to embrace their own weirdness.
Patricia Arquette's character in particular is quite odd. But I found the film to be surprisingly heartwarming. And I admired it all the more when I realized that it had dealt with issues like racism and bullying without feeling heavy-handed in the slightest.
