The movie only portrays half of the book, makes up the rest to make it all "work" then just summarizes that in crappy dialogue, acting, and special effects. The movie is not worth anyone's time.
The book and the series probably shouldn't be made into a series of movies but as a mini tv series or something of the like. It'll just flow better and there will be more detail and character development.
