Review of Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010) by Cade H — 22 Oct 2013

I just finished reading the book series and now I am onto the movies, or the 2 that are out so far. This start to the film franchise was a good movie and provided fun for kids and adults both. You can tell a lot of money and time was put into the special effects and everything came together nicely and looked great on screen.

The storyline from the book was followed pretty closely and only a couple parts were left out and not much added. The acting was fine, the pace was great and the action scenes were fun and entertaining.

Even if you haven't read the books this film should draw you in because of the world that it creates and knowing that there is more to come leaves you wanting to know what comes next. I think the film goes along great with the movie and I can't wait to see the second film and have the books I read brought to life.
