My wife and I watched this on our cable's Video on Demand. Another basic Disney-like story, though is an adult way. PG-13? Really? Of course the story arc is then predictable so while you wait until the inevitably obvious conclusion, you have to hope the journey keeps you involved.
I found the characters interesting enough to hold my attention and the actors did a decent job with the material. The ending will either make you gag or tear up. It was OK and my wife liked it. Worth a look as a rental for a date night at home.
