Dave!

The Penguins of Madagascar were raised in various zoos and were always the most popular and cute attraction despite their spy like ways. An octopus in the same zoos, Dave, used to be the most popular attraction, but the penguins surpassed him and made him an afterthought. Dave escapes the zoo, creates a ray gun, and is hell bent on revenge. Can the penguins stop him?

"Smile and wave, boys. Smile and wave.".

Eric Darnell (Antz and Madagascar 1-3) and Simon Smith (Bee Movie) collaborate to deliver Penguins of Madagascar. The storyline for this picture was very average and reminded me of the first three Madagascar films (i.e. just average and nothing special). The animation quality was awesome and very well done and John Malkovich was the perfect selection to play the voice of the villain. Voices were also provided by Ken Jeong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Andy Richter, Chris Miller, Tom McGrath, Conrad Vernon, and Christopher Knights.".

"We gotta blend in. River dance!".

We saw this at the movies as a family with some friends the other night and thoroughly enjoyed it. My daughter laughed throughout the movie and we thought the animation style was awesome. The movie itself is far from a classic, and doesn't compete with the quality of Pixar's current work, but it is still entertaining and worth watching with your children.

"I make my own options.".

Grade: C+.
