A classic in every respect and so far ahead of it's time it's scary. This and Freaks I tend to put in the same category (great films that ruined the director's careers). The voyeurism /murder theme and the storytelling itself are just excellent.
This is one of those films you didn't have to worry if you saw it a while ago, it was inevitable that it would eventually get the respect it deserves. Awesome, Awesome film.
