Review of Peeping Tom (1960) by Eduardo C — 30 Jul 2014
Imagine it's 1960. Imagine a famous and popular British director is about to make his first horror film. Imagine he succeeds and the film is a masterpiece No, I'm not talking about Alfred Hitchcock, but about Michael Powell with this film.
But, whereas Hitchcock went on to get more fame and recognition, Powell got death threats and got shunned by the public. So even though it's not Powell's last film, it effectively ended his career.
See why it disturbed the British public so much. See why it's one of the greatest films ever made.
