Review of Peeping Tom (1960) by Ethan Y — 11 Feb 2010
MIchael Powell effortlessly transports the viewer into the meta-cinematic world of Mark Lewis, a good person driven mad by his over-bearing father. Powell wisely shoots the film using lots of greens and reds, imitating the sickly look of early two strip technicolor.
Led by an astounding performance from Karlheinz Bohn, Peeping Tom isn't just the British answer to Psycho, it may also be the superior film.
