Review of Peeping Tom (1960) by Andy W — 15 Nov 2012
Powell's dark and voyeuristic feature still holds great effect to this day, and the killer's POV shots in the film are still disturbing enough to evoke tension and unease. Powell's obsession with vibrant red also manifests onscreen, adding a touch of ominous mood throughout.
The killer is also portrayed in a more sympathetic light, and his relationship with Massey is quite believable as well.
