Must admit an extra half star went up due to childhood memories. Considering I just saw this guy on broadway doing the same character 25 years after the film may sway you a bit. Its Tim Burtons coming out film where he really shows who he wants to be as a director.
The colors. music, sequences and dream scenes are things that became Burton staples. Great director with a great writer/Performer in Reubens. Can't imagine someone not like this.
