Review of Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985) by Charles P — 24 Mar 2011
Pee Wee Hermanâ??s bicycle represents the lost soul of Americaâ??s innocence. The systemic corruption and decay that permeates the film, brilliantly brought together by Tim Burtonâ??s mise-en-scene, shows us that the system does not work, man alone must make his justice and take back what is his.
Pee Wee Herman does not just go for his bike, he seeks to redeem America and bring it back to the values that made it great.
