Review of Peacock (2010) by Hayden G — 19 Jul 2018
Peacock might just be the most underappreciated movies I have ever seen in my life. The fact that it was straight to DVD is heartbreaking, as more people needed to see it. It stars Cillian Murphy(arguably the most talented male actor working today) as someone suffering from a split personality.
Nobody knows that he suffers from this, however, until an incident changes everything. Murphy is joined by Ellen Page(arguably the most talented actress working today) and Susan Sarandon. Page is great here as well, and Sarandon is serviceable in a smaller role.
This is a movie that is sort of a mix between Split and Lars and the Real Girl, which if you have seen those movies, is a good thing. The only aspect of the film that I did not like was the ending, however the alternate ending on the DVD is much better.
Peacock has an incredible script, boast fantastic performances, and should be seen by anyone who is a fan of film.
