Review of Payback (1999) by Lee K — 13 Jul 2009

Having decided to throw on my copy of this flick that I own in blu-ray format I always had this feeling that I am missing something then Kris Kristofferson came to mind, ummm where is his part in this because I distinctively remember him starring in this.

I originally saw this in the theatre and then again on v.h.s. and then I picked up a copy of coarse on blu ray. Well after watching I did some research and low and behold what I purchased on blu-ray is the directors cut and they apparently re did the whole ending sequence to fit Gibson's charector Porter a little better.

Damn I havwe watched this twice since I bought it and I just clued in on it now, so those of you in the same curfuffal I hope it sheds some light. Anyhow this one is definatly for the dudes out there, it's got testoterone all over it! Gibson double crossed by his lover and a partner in crime decides to issue a little of what the title of the film states and boy does he ever.

The thing I loved most about this film is the fact that Gibson goes in no holds barred beginning to end and dosent stop. If you havent seen this film I suggest to give it a try!
