Review of Payback (1999) by Kenneth S — 22 Jan 2010
This is a great twist on the stupid action flicks that Mel Gibson likes to do. This one is self-aware of its stupidity, so it takes it to its extremes and loves every minute of it. I don't mean that Mel's character does.
.. the movie itself does. Mel's character is almost non-existant since the details we get about him are really only about how other people interact with him. He's a stationary character in a moving world.
