Review of Payback (1999) by Brad G — 25 Apr 2011
An okay, crime revenge film loosely based on the Richard Stark Parker novel The Hunter and John Boorman's previous adaptation Point Blank. A nice cast of both low and high criminals, but the obvious narration and the ridiculous Kidnapping Subplot really hinder the steely cool of Gibson's Porter.
Surely, there's a good movie here somewhere? VF.
