Review of Paul (1969) by E Sidney M — 11 Jun 2012
"Paul" is a comedy with "nerd" written in throughout. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost play English geeks, vacationing to Comic Con before road tripping through Area 51 to Roswell. Along the way they meet Paul, an alien voiced by Seth Rogan.
There are many references to geek culture and I laughed (more like guffawed) many times! The story moves along charting our hero's misadventure with a good pace and the plot, though not too complex, has a twist or two to keep it fresh.
The end is satisfying, but only just... Paul is a fun ride but due to language, is not a kid's film.
