George C. Scott is amazing.
As for the whole picture, I'm not overwhelmed. This is heralded as one of the great war epics which, I guess it is, but I just have a hard time wrapping my head around Patton as a character. As a person, I get it, he was a fantastic general and he did his part. As a character, I can't get behind him. Kind of a prick!
It was okay, but I don't think I'll go out of my way to see it again. Maybe war flicks aren't my thing.
