Review of Patton (1970) by Randy L — 16 Nov 2009
Compared to the hype, I was pretty surprised at how conventional and cliched the movie turned out to be. the opening scene is genuinely aesthetically striking, almost surreal, and George C. Scott is obviously immersed in character, but the screenplay is mostly notable for its length.
Karl Malden was horribly miscast in my opinion.
