Review of Patton (1970) by Brett C — 08 Jul 2014
At nearly 3 hours, PATTON serves as both an excellent biopic but also as a strong war epic. Thanks to a brilliant lead performance from George C. Scott as General Patton we get a sense of the character, but the key to this film is that we also get to experience this within a very competent historical chronicling of the war; the film paints a clear picture of the flow of the war.
While this is not one of my favorite war pictures, I do respect it immensely and think it's a worthy Oscar winner.
