Review of Patton (1970) by Alex S — 23 Jul 2014
If you see a three-hour long epic war movie biopic about a person you may have no interest in as you're browsing through movies and it doesn't immediately draw you in, then we were in the same boat.
For weeks I had seen this move on Netflix and never bothered to watch it, but that was a big mistake. This movie features a very good score, a very good script from Francis Ford Coppola, and it's all led by a commanding (no pun intended) performance from George C.
Scott. You definitely don't have to be interested in the subject matter to enjoy this movie, because the movie is very entertaining and goes by quickly. An excellent movie and well deserving of its seven Oscars.
