As effective as it is respectful, Patriots Day finds Peter Berg and Mark Wahlberg at the height of their partnership, leaving us with an enduring demonstration of the human spirit in its most unadulterated form.
Though it does dip into Berg's usual, "America, fuck yeah!" disposition in its final few minutes, this film will have you holding back tears on several occasions.
