Review of Patriots Day (2016) by Ryan L — 15 Jan 2017
This is the most tear-jerking, tense, tragic, phenomenal true story film ive seen since Saving Private Ryan. Patriots Day entails the tragedy that was the Boston Marathon Bombing that took place back in April 2013.
What I mainly loved about this film is that it didn't just have the event of the bombing, but it had the events leading up to it, the bombing itself, as well as the massive manhunt for the two suspects.
Peter Berg is amazing with these types of films, he knows how to make extreme tension, how to tug at your heart strings, and just knows how to direct an amazing tragedy film with a fantastic cast.
