It's entertaining for what it is, but it's in horribly bad taste. It pits the Boston police force as the raw emotional heart and heroes against the logical, methodical government that seemingly stands in the way of justice.

Additionally, amid a period of tumultuous race relations and Islamophobia, the film fabricates generalized aggression and beliefs of the Islamic faith, and fails to draw the distinction between extremists and the great majority of Islamic people.

Filmmakers have a responsibility when making films to be socially conscientious, and this was no mistake considering the film was released a mere three years after the incident. These terrorists were, in fact, monsters - but, this movie is out to fear-monger.
