Review of Paths of Glory (1957) by Bradley P — 17 Oct 2013
``The men died wonderfully``, The lines delivered by military leaders clearly shows what Kubrick thinks of the hierarchy in the military and war in general. Paths of Glory presents what is wretched in war and in life.
Kubrick does an amazing job early in his career to make an excellent film that not only entertains but makes the viewer think and quite honestly, I felt for the characters in this film much more than 90% of other films (Especially those accused of being cowards).
A must see film.
