Review of Paths of Glory (1957) by Simon D — 04 Jan 2014
Paths of Glory is a strange title for such a hard-hitting anti-war story. Kubrick does a good job from the start to show us the oppostie to what most war films usually lead us to believe. The title is the first misleading sign.
Throughout the film you are only expecting things to turn out alright and are constantly irked when they don't. The film is very well made with Kubricks signature stamped all over it.
