Review of Paths of Glory (1957) by Josh R — 13 Mar 2015
An emotional, poignant and frighteningly realistic look at the first world war and arguably one of Stanley kubricks finest films paths of glory is an incredible look at the inhumanity of warfare .the injustice that the three soldiers endure and Colonel Dax's attempts to help them and not to mention the scenes of trench warfare so brilliantly and vividly shot by Kubrick will have you fixated on the screen until the end credits roll.
kirk Douglas gives the performance of a lifetime as Colonel Dax. Paths of glory is a true masterpiece and a great commentary on war in general.
