Review of Paterson (2016) by Kathleen W — 01 Feb 2017
Even though the characters are absurd and comical I was fully present in the city. I was back working minimum wage and counting the hours and feeling tight anxiety every morning. It's hard to find the poetry in working life when you've lived it.
Sneaking your creative passions into the few minutes before your shift starts and cradling weekends that end too soon. It really captured the passing of time (never how you want it to be), but made it more bearable and watchable with its comedy.
