Review of Paterson (2016) by Jeff C — 19 Oct 2017
I've never encountered a film and story that was so slow and monotonous but yet so intriguing and exciting all at the same time. Jim Jarmusch puts us into the head of a bus driver poet, a creative that lives a seemingly mundane existence.
Peel back the layers of his everyday routine and you see more. Adam Driver's performance is outstanding; you know an actor has hit their mark when you can't picture anyone else in the roll. Paterson is one of those films that will make you skip a beat the next time you are walking to your corner grocery store.
