Wow. I knew this film would be bad, but I had no idea just HOW bad, how insulting, how moronic. The real story of Patch Adams is so much richer and more interesting than this dishonest, manipulative horseshit. Robin Williams is at his most embarrassing, and the script functions at an intellectual level somewhere between a minimally exceptional first-grader and a mound of discarded peanut husks. I can't even articulate the degree to which I despised this film. Just don't watch it. Even many children will find this movie impossibly sappy and irritating.
FUCK this movie.
